Vilafranca del Penedès Town Council, through the Economic Promotion service, presents a new website that collects all the information of interest on the seven industrial estates in Vilafranca: Domenys I, Domenys II, Avinguda de Tarragona, Mercaderies station and les Fonts, Pous d'en Rosell, Llevant and Vallmoll, Els Cirerers and Domenys III. With the aim of promoting them and attracting the location of new companies, this web space contains detailed information on the location of the estates, services, communications, dimensions, industrial spaces for sale or rent and contact details with the real estate company that manages them.
The Councilor for Economic Promotion of Vilafranca City Council, Joan Manel Montfort, explains that the initiative wants to solve one of the shortcomings detected in the Strategic Study of the Vilafranca estates, drawn up in 2010, where one of the main needs demanded by employers was precisely to have organized and accessible information about the offer of industrial estates.
As reported on the website, in the main industrial estates of Vilafranca, grouped in three large differentiated industrial areas very close to the main road access routes, there are located a total of 160 companies. Estació de Mercaderies and les Fonts, and Domaines II stand out as industrial estates with more companies. The companies are mainly dedicated to the commercial and service sector, although some specific estates are characterized by hosting companies with purely industrial activity or related to the logistics sector.
